The wedding is one of the most important events in one's life and every girl has dreamed of looking like a princess on the wedding day. Fashion magazines, website catalogues, wedding pictures of royalty and celebrities and memorable moments of seeing gorgeous brides walking down the aisle, all add up to the deep desire to look lovely on the big day. Nothing says "princess" like lace wedding dresses. In my opinion, they are the prettiest-most elegant style of wedding dresses out there. Kate Middleton's lace wedding dress was raved about by all fashion magazines and designers alike.

Most wedding designer boutique fitters and helpers are quite used to the requests of celebrity inspired wedding dresses "like the one from the fashion magazine that was published a few days back", by excited brides-to be. Cut outs from fashion magazines accompany their own imaginative designs as they go about explaining "The dress" of their dreams to the amused designers.

Fashion magazines update readers regarding the latest trends of wedding gowns going back to the vintage and the traditional look. Lace wedding dresses are a delight for lace loving mavens or for those looking for a romantic twist to contemporary designs. Fashion magazines with online presence like beelethemagazine .com define lace wedding dresses as show stopping and a personification of elegance, charm and pristine femininity.

Fashion magazines and magazines and websites dedicated to bridal wear and guidelines for the special day have many articles and columns with experienced advice to ensure that the bride-to-be is well informed about her vast number of options. All steps are taken to make sure that she is the most beautiful woman of the day with the most fashionable look on her wedding day.

Prague is one of 397 cities worldwide that is participating in PechaKucha, a night of fast-paced design presentations mixed with lots of beer. Presenters include a wide range of creative professionals, from architects to fashion magazine editors and designers. PechaKucha Night (PKN) began in Tokyo in 2003, and has since morphed into a global happening.

The name is derived from the Japanese term for the sound of chit chat, and it is famous for featuring presentations in a "20×20" format, meaning each of a dozen or so designers shows 20 images for 20 seconds a piece. This year the event will be hosted in three cities in the Czech Republic: Prague, Ostrava, and Brno. The first PKN in Prague was held Feb. 20, 2007, and featured 14 presenters. Since that time Prague has held the event every other month at Kino Aero in the Zizkov district. The events always sell out weeks in advance.

Walking into a second hand clothing store in Prague is like going on a treasure hunt. Like other major capitals, Prague has a wide variety of second-hand outlets. You can find almost anything here, from retro wedding dresses to antique accessories, it all depends on your interests. Before 1989, the selection was poor because under communism clothes were viewed as functional objects that simply had to last as long as possible, if necessary held together with the help of staples or strings.

This meant that the concept of second-hand clothing didn't really exist at this time. Since then many interesting shops have opened, such as Kudy Tudy (Saska 10), which specializes in Retro/Vintage fashion. Its former name, Myrnyx Tyrnyx, may be familiar to Prague veterans because it was the first second-hand clothing store to open in the city in 1996.
